In July in our company students of St. Petersburg State Architectural Construction University of the Architectural Department were undergoing the practical training. The supervisors of the practical training were the leading architects, engineers and constructors of the company. They elaborated the special teaching programme, which included the peculiarities of the designing and construction activity. The programme was arranged in such a way that the probationers had the opportunity to get acquainted with the peculiarities of projects first, and then to watch their practical realization at the building site. During the practical training the future architects had a good chance to get acquainted with the key moments of the production side of the building process: constructive peculiarities, important construction technologies, new and perspective materials. Moreover, the students could study a complicated multistage process of interaction between the participants of the construction process: architects, engineers, constructors and supervisors of construction works. Within the limits of the practical training the students visited many objects (which have been already built and which are being built yet), such as: the cottage settlement «Petergof City», plants “BSH” and «Lenpoligrafmash», and the design gallery Bulthaup. Doing practical tasks, the students developed a scaled model according to the project of the plant «Lenpoligrafmash» which was being built. The model was presented to the leadership of the plant and was handed over to the plant museum.
